Join me for an online painting with wool workshop where you can make your own masterpiece. This class is great for beginners and fun for experienced felters!

I will guide you through the process of wool painting which gives you the skills to create an amazing picture with some lovely watercolor effects and textures using wool fibers without any needles, water, glue, or paint. You’ll learn how to work the wool and fashion details using various techniques: layering the strands of wool and ensure a smooth transition between colors; mixing wool to form new colors; and more.

The class is 4-6 hours long with a 15-minute break every 2 hours.

*The class is designed for 4 hours, but the speed of creating a picture is individual for everyone, so the class can go 2 hours longer.

Classes are held via Zoom, video conferencing platform. It’s very easy to use – you basically need to follow a link that I create and share with you. I start the meeting 10 minutes before the actual workshop, so we will have time to test the connection, video, and sound.

There will be only you in this class. My camera will be set up above my workplace so you will clearly see the instructions as I work with wool on my worktop on your monitor. You may show me your work if similar set up impossible or carefully hold the picture up to your computer’s camera.

Supplies needed:

  • Frame with glass 8×10 inches.
  • Quilted paper padding.
  • Merino wool roving in various colors.
  • Tweezers.
  • Scissors.

You can provide your own supplies or purchase the kit for this class from me. Please allow seven days (for domestic shipping) between purchase and workshop date to make sure your kit arrives on time.
